Rocking evening at The Park
Rock music lovers had a great time at Someplace Else, The Park, as city bands took to the stage at the pub.
While Ifs & Buts, Monkey In Me and Rupsha and gang delighted revellers on Thursday, it was the turn for Split to keep the crowd grooving to their beats on the following Saturday.
On both the days, the bands played amidst loud cheers from those gathered at the pub. We spotted singer songwriter Neel Adhikary having a good time at the do on Thursday
DJs Hussain and Vishal get the crowd grooving
It was time to shake a leg with DJs Hussain and Vishal getting the crowd into the groove by spinning some mindblowing house and Bolly numbers recently at Tantra, The Park.
We spotted groups of friends having fun at the party. However, our attention was fixed on a lady in blue who unleashed some killer moves on the dance floor. Rahul, a young party goer who also turned up at the do, surprised us by wearing a green Superman tee! BFFs Riya and Lopa were inseparable as they matched their moves on the dance floor. As the night wore on, the DJs sent revellers into a tizzy with their tunes.
Unlimited fun at Roxy, The Park
It was a night of fun unlimited at Roxy, The Park, on Friday. With DJs Vishal and Rudra turning up the heat, couples jostled for space along with girl gangs on the dance floor.
Partygoers were in for a surprise when they saw a virtually empty club in the beginning, little did they know that soon, there would hardly be any space left on the dance floor. As the night advanced, the DJs got in the groove and churned out pulsating music in sync with the mood of the crowd.
We spotted Sonia, Razzat and Malika having the time of their life with a group of friends. Ishaan and Aparna made for cute couple, thoroughly enjoying each other’s company.
A rocking night with DJs Vishal and Hussain at Tantra
On a recent Saturday night, DJs Vishal and Hussain upped the tempo at Tantra, The Park, with a super dose of house music.
The weather was pretty chilly outside but the PYTs in the club made sure that the mercury stayed right up there as they unleashed some killer moves on the dance floor. Towards midnight, when the DJs changed gears and started playing popular Bollywood numbers, there was a loud cheer from the people on the jampacked dance floor. While the remixed version of Bappida’s “Ooh la la” made revellers go berserk, “Subah hone na de” from “Desi Boyz” made them dance like there’s no tomorrow. It was one good night, for sure!
Rocking with Brian Lara in Kolkata
Revellers at Tantra, The Park, have never had it this good. Just as the music was pumped up and the dance floor started bursting at the seams around 1.30 am on Wednesday, in walked cricketer Brian Lara.
While all eyes were fixed on him, Lara chose to oblige shutterbugs, autograph-seekers and cricket enthusiasts by shaking hands with them and posing for them for photographs.
As DJs Vishal, Joy and Hussain unleashed some killer tunes from their turntable, Lara too got into the mood to shake a leg or two. We caught him in a merry mood as he chatted with model Srabani and even accompanied her to the dance floor. Elsewhere, we spotted girl gangs raising a toast to, who knows, Lara, maybe!
A rocking Friday night at Tantra, The Park
It was a rocking Friday night at Tantra, The Park, as DJs Vishal, Hussain & Joy took over the console to spin some mindboggling house and Bollywood tracks.
New year celebrations may be over but the city showed that when it comes to partying, Kolkata needs no excuses. PYTs and handsome hunks thronged the dance floor in stylish outfits and scorched the club with killer moves.
We spotted model and actor Srabani having a good time at the party.
Bango Seva Samman by Dhanwantary Seva Foundation
Bango Seva Samman 2011 was organized by Dhanwantary Seva Foundation, recently, at The Park.
It was indeed a treat to have Mayor Sovan Chatterjee, Industry minister Partha Chatterjee, industrialist Harsh Neotia and painter Shuvaprasanna gracing the occasion. “We are happy that this occasion has become such an important annual event among Kolkata socialites,” says Rajendra Khandelwal, trustee of Dhanwantary Seva Foundation.
